Upper School Student and Club Garner Award

Parker junior Rohan Jain was recently recognized by Reach Out & Read Illinois for his work with Parker’s Community Research and Medicine (CRM) Club, which aims to better understand health conditions that impact a diverse range of communities by using research to formulate effective interventions.

Jain personally established a partnership with Reach Out & Read Illinois in 2017 and has been actively engaging the Parker community in its efforts through outreach and fundraising.

Reach Out & Read Illinois will formally recognize Jain
and Parker’s CRM Club at the organization’s Third Annual Great Stories Awards fundraiser
on June 19.

Reach Out & Read Illinois is a local nonprofit that gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together.
Doctors that partner with Reach Out & Read put books in the hands of children at the earliest age and use these books as a tool for modeling good reading habits, promoting family bonding and encouraging early learning.
