Junior Kindergarten Presents Virtual Creation Gallery

Students in Tisha Johnson’s Junior Kindergarten class typically design and create new projects surrounding different themes in the classroom each week. Despite current circumstances, Johnson wanted to continue fostering this creativity, so she has encouraged students to design and create new things each week on their own at home.

Each week, she gives the class a new theme, and students can draw, paint or color—but she also encourages them to think outside the box: “Create something out of blocks, a shadow, natural materials, recycled materials, LEGOs, playdough—you are limited only by your imagination!”

During the last few weeks of remote learning, the virtual creation gallery themes have included Puppets; Animals; Rocketships; and Ducks, Ducklings and Eggs. Please check out what these JK students have come up with here
