Marker’s Makers Bring France to Parker

By Upper School French teacher Cynthia Marker
With the expertise and support of Middle and Upper School Librarian Annette Lesak and the Integrated Learning and Information Sciences team, French I students completed their annual Francophone-themed Makers’ Project.

Tasked with the challenge of using all the tools at their disposal (arts and crafts, 3-D printers, laser cutters and sewing machines, to name a few), students created outstanding replicas of famous monuments, cuisine and paintings along with sports memorabilia and fashion symbols. Afterwards, they presented their homemade artifacts in class, elaborating on diverse cultural representations and legacies of the French-speaking world.

Please enjoy their magnificent efforts currently on display in the Kolver Family Library. Un grand bravo à tous les étudiants qui ont participé!
