Students Consider Perspective in 4th Grade Greek Play

Student creativity, scholarship, determination and drama were on display in this year’s annual 4th grade Greek Play, where students shared the story of Theseus and the Minotaur from the perspectives of three characters.

Each year, students work with their teachers during the span of many weeks to develop an original show based on their study of classical Greek mythology. They write their own scripts, draw and paint the scenery they use on stage and rehearse for weeks leading up to the big show. Recognizing the power of perspective in storytelling, students developed three mini-productions of the story of Theseus and the Minotaur from the points of view of Theseus, Daedalus and Ariadne.
