Freshman Named to the IHSA Student Advisory Committee

Parker is very proud to announce that the Illinois High School Association Sportsmanship Advisory Committee has selected another Parker student to join them. Freshman Miriam Johnson will follow in the footsteps of Sammi Coleman ’22 and senior Benjamin Kagan to become the third consecutive Parker student to serve a two-year term on the SAC.

The SAC is a diverse group of students who participate in interscholastic athletics/activities and focus on providing education and leadership through open and honest communication with all member school students, administrators and coaches. The committee also serves as a liaison between students, administrators, the IHSA staff and its board of directors. Finally, the SAC promotes the ideals of the IHSA, including leadership, sportsmanship and integrity.

Parker is very happy that the IHSA has recognized Johnson for this tremendous honor and proud that a Parker student has sat on this prestigious committee for the last six years!
