Parker Faculty Wins Jeff Award

Dance teacher Flo Walker-Harris’ Pulse Theater Company Chicago was recently recognized with a Jeff Award for Best Short Run Ensemble in the non-Equity category this year.

The company presented its production of Once on This Island in November 2023 at the Eta Creative Arts Foundation. The show was nominated for Best Short Run Production and Best Short Run Ensemble in the non-Equity category, and Walker-Harris was on hand to accept the award.

The Jeff Awards foster the artistic growth of Chicago-area theaters and theater artists and promotes educational opportunities, audience appreciation and civic pride in the achievements of the theater community. More on the Jeff Awards is available here.

Parker congratulates Walker-Harris and Pulse on this major accomplishment and looks forward to more great performances—from Pulse and Parker’s performing arts students—in the years to come!
