Social Justice League Represents at Regional ChangeMakers Conference

What dreams do you have for yourself and our society? How will your dreams make a positive impact on our society? What is your action plan to make those dreams come true? Twelve representatives from the Middle School’s Social Justice League recently attended the regional ChangeMakers conference to answer those questions and network with others looking to make change.

Hosted by fellow independent school Quest Academy in Palatine, Parker’s Social Justice League joined with students from Quest, The Catherine Cook School, St. Teresa’s School and GEMS World Academy to participate in informational sessions, build comradery and create vision boards to achieve short- and long-term goals.

Parker Middle School students walked away from the day with valuable insights, new connections and a solid plan to make their outreach here in school and out in our community a reality.

If your Middle School student is interested in making change, the Middle School Social Justice League meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in room 347. Contact sponsors David Fuder (dfuder@fwparker.org), Karen Liszka (kliszka@fwparker.org) or Phenice Williams (pwilliams@fwparker.org) with any questions. No experience necessary—just a passion to help our community is required!
