Click here for an Upper School Update sent on Friday, January 8.
  • The Upper School will follow a two-week rotation which allows for two grades to be on campus each week.
  • You can access the weekly rotation calendar here. Students in each grade will be divided into two groups (morning OR afternoon) who will be on campus for two half-days on either Monday and Tuesday OR Thursday and Friday during each two-week rotation.
  • You can view the daily schedule here.
  • The daily schedule is the same whether a student is in-person or learning remotely.
  • Wednesdays will be remote for all.
  • The Wednesday schedule is available here.
  • The list of students assigned to each session will be shared during the week of January 18.
Fully Remote option:
Please fill out this form by Friday, January 15 to indicate if your student(s) will choose to remain fully remote next semester.

The In-Person Experience:
  • All students attending class in-person will be required to complete a short health questionnaire daily prior to arriving on campus (reminders delivered daily via email and text).
  • Students will enter the building at Clark Street and have temperatures taken via contactless thermometers.
  • To allow for temperature checks, Morning Session students should arrive between 7:50–8:05 a.m. and Afternoon Session students should arrive between 12:20–12:35 p.m.
  • Students must wear masks and adhere to the required six feet of physical distance at all times.
  • All classes will take place on the 3rd and 4th floors.
  • Students will be seated at individual desks, spaced six feet apart and will face the same direction during class.
  • Classrooms will be cleaned throughout the day.
  • Students with free periods will report to a designated classroom for study hall, and hallways and locker rooms will not be available as common spaces.
  • Parker will be a closed campus with no off-campus privileges. Once students arrive on campus, they must remain on campus until they have completed their commitments and leave for the day. (Again, morning students will be able to purchase a grab and go lunch from the cafeteria.)

COVID Screening Information

COVID Screening Information Saliva-based screening will be used for all Upper School students and teachers as an additional layer of risk mitigation prior to their arrival on campus. Screening to reduces transmission by identifying potentially infected individuals earlier than they might develop symptoms. Advances in the availability, method (saliva vs. a nasal swab), speed of results and cost now make such screening a possibility for Parker. There is no charge to families for the screening cost.

Parker will be working with SafeGuard Surveillance, LLC to perform confidential COVID-19 PCR screening tests among Upper School students every time a group returns to campus. In addition, Upper School faculty will be screened weekly (or even twice a week if they choose).

The screening test uses a saliva sample, self-collected, to look for the presence of the virus that causes COVID-19. This screening is not a diagnostic test, and if the screening is positive, it must be followed up by an antigen or rt-PCR COVID-19 test. This screening is intended to be used in conjunction with other safety measures, and Parker will maintain all present layers of mitigation.

You will receive communication next week with the specific details and logistics about the screening process.
