Increased Personal Responsibilities—Social Contract

The safety of our community will rely on every community member’s commitment to a social contract with the school and each other:
Stay home when sick
Conduct daily at-home health screenings
Adhere to school safety protocols
Adhere to local safety guidelines
Restrict travel to COVID hotspots
Self-quarantine after travel if needed

Report illness and travel
Participate in contact tracing
Quarantine if necessary

Layers of Safety Measures in School Operations

In addition to commitment to the Social Contract, Parker will use a COMBINATION of safety measures. The more safety precautions in place, the lower the risk of spreading infection. With an abundance of caution, Parker meets or exceeds safety guidelines.
Indoors
*Masks must be worn indoors by all people at all times except when eating or drinking or during supervised mask breaks, regardless of vaccination status.
Outdoors
All non-vaccinated students and adults must wear masks outdoors on campus at all times.
Vaccinated students and adults may remove masks when outdoors on campus.

*Gaiters and masks with vents are not acceptable
 Screening upon arrival
Hand sanitization upon arrival and throughout day
Physical distancing at all possible times
Increased ventilation
More than 90% of students and employees who are vaccine-eligible have received a vaccine to date
Saliva screening will be used throughout the year to ensure an environment with low COVID risk
Water bottles from home (no fountains)
Intensified facility sanitation
Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse democratic society and global community.
