Parker’s Commitment

In the spirit of doing everything to help and nothing to hinder, Parker is committed to delivering a Parker education to the highest degree possible given the restrictions dictated by the pandemic. Parker will do everything possible to mitigate risk with health and safety as a top priority for students, employees and families. Flexibility and adaptability will be necessary for all in our community as Parker will look different, and the model is ever-evolving.

Current Plan

Junior and Senior Kindergarten—Three Options:

Option 1: In-Person/Remote Hybrid
  • A.M. in-person program
  • Students dismissed midday to eat lunch and have “chill” time at home
  • P.M. remote program
    • Combination of synchronous and asynchronous materials 
Option 2: Fully Remote Program
  • Required to elect into a fully remote program
  • Students can opt into a fully remote program at any time
  • Students can only return to in-person learning at specified dates
Option 3: In-Person Learning/Childcare Hybrid for Families Where Home is Not an Option in the Afternoon
  • A.M. in-person program
  • Students dismissed midday to Parker provided childcare for lunch and “chill” time
  • Students engaged in p.m. remote program while in Parker provided childcare
    • Combination of synchronous and asynchronous materials

First Grade through Twelfth Grade—Two Options:

Option 1: In-Person
  • 1st–8th Grade On-Campus Learning five days weekly
  • 9th and 10th Grade On-Campus Learning on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • 11th and 12th Grade On-Campus Learners on Thursdays and Fridays
Option 2: Fully Remote Program
  • Any 1st–12th grade student who wishes to learn remotely may elect to do so
Plans for a Safe Return to On-Campus Learning from April Recess
  • We will engage in a week of school-wide remote learning to quarantine when classes resume on Tuesday, April 13 through Friday, April 13.
  • Families who plan to return to on-campus learning on Monday, April 19, are expected to be in town for this remote learning week to quarantine.
  • All employees and on-campus learners must participate in a saliva screening test on Saturday, April 17, before returning to campus.
