Celebrate our 8th Grade Graduates

We could not be more proud of the 8th grade class of 2020. During Middle School they have developed their skills in communication, independence, executive functioning, active citizenship, creativity, self-confidence, collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, resilience and willingness to own the impact of their actions, rather than hide behind their intentions. Our faculty and staff saw this class grow in these ways—sometimes with grace and apparent ease, sometimes with real struggle—before we lost access to our campus in mid-March and during the three months of emergency remote learning, too.

While the final stretch of their 8th grade year was altered in ways that no one wanted, we insist on celebrating and honoring them this spring with our Middle School Tribute to the 8th Grade Class on the evening of June 3 (via Zoom) and in person later this summer, fall or winter (whenever social-distancing guidelines enable the class and their families to gather at Parker for a reception). Although we all have many things for which to be grateful despite the challenges of these times, we recognize that this class has given up much from their 8th grade experience to keep others and themselves safe and well. Therefore, in 2020, we also honor our 8th graders, this special and wonderful class, for their sacrifice, selflessness and impactful citizenship for the greater good.
On this website we seek to acknowledge and commemorate the unique journey and bright futures of this class. Please consider sharing your support with a note or video to our Eighth grade graduates, and check back regularly!
